''The exceptionally early appearance of the name, the wide spread nature of the leave, despite his research on this generation seem especially commendable. It is unlikely that the name Medicus has emerged simultaneously in several places, as is the German name for it (doctor Arzet). Both the Latin and the German name is peculiar to it. As a result, is almost certainly also suggests that - assuming the case of late humanist in disguise latin dress - only in a 16th or 17 Detectable century family of that name with the older media related.

The published work has appeared in a 1905 book, which unfortunately is no longer available secondhand. These leaves are out of date insofar as 1995-1999 Hr. Dr. Reinhard Medicus from Salzburg included the research again. It is divided into four (not three) trunks and branches, and added many names of emigrants, especially after the USA, added. This research is continuing now.''

As the family physician has no central family archives, this website can provide a rallying point. We invite everyone interested to participate in the research. Old and new documents, Taufzeugnisse and current information (marriages, deaths, etc.) could be stored for long periods here, for future generations. Of course, strict measures to protect the data.''
